Julie Kobylarek, MA, MS, OTR/L

Julie is the founder of JK Therapy, LLC and an occupational therapist who specializes in working with children of all levels and abilities particularly those with developmental delays and sensory processing needs. Julie is passionate about helping children of all ages and developmental levels maximize their potential in a fun and motivating way. Julie works with children with a variety of diagnoses, developmental delays, and sensory processing needs. Julie has worked in a number of schools and outpatient specialized programs in New York City and the D.C. Metro area, providing services for children with special needs.


Julie is dedicated to continuously expanding her knowledge in the field of occupational therapy. She holds a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Towson University, a Master of Arts degree in Motor Learning and Control from Columbia University (her thesis focused on sensory processing disorder in the classroom), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science from the University of Michigan. She is also certified in levels one and two of the Radiant Child Yoga Program (RCYP 1-2) and has taken courses in emotional regulation, yoga for kids, executive functioning skills, and Handwriting without Tears. 

Lindsay Herschfeld, MS, OTR/L

Lindsay received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She has worked with children ranging from infants to school-aged in the home, outpatient clinic, and community settings. She has worked with children with diagnoses including autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities. Lindsay is passionate about supporting children and their families to facilitate skill development.

Victoria (Tori) Drake, MS, OTR/L

Tori received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Trinity Washington University. Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, Tori has over 7 years’ experience in the field of education, including direct instruction, developmentally-appropriate curriculum design, and educational administration. With her background, she is committed to promoting the academic success of children and helping them overcome any obstacles to their educational and social participation.

Tori specializes in working with children who have developmental and neurological conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, and pediatric mental health. Her goal is to help children reach their full potential by addressing their individual needs and capitalizing on their strengths. She uses a sensory-based approach to therapy that is both fun and effective and collaborates with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to create a supportive and inclusive environment for children.


Kristen DeYoung, MS, OTR/L

Kristen received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Illinois State University and her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Governors State University in Illinois. She has experience working with children in a variety of different settings including the schools, early intervention, and outpatient clinics. Kristen has treated a wide variety of diagnoses including autism, general developmental delays, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, physical disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and oral motor/ feeding difficulties.

Kristen’s primary goal is to provide a supportive environment and improve the quality of life for children and their families. Communication is key and she believes that families should be involved in their children’s therapy as this is integral to their success. Kristen strives to create a fun and engaging environment where children can learn new skills in order to meet their goals.



Michael Jeffries, OTD, OTR/L

Mike received his bachelor's degree in sociology and anthropology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a clinical doctorate in occupational therapy from Towson University. His capstone project involved using the sport of rock climbing as a tool to improve mobility in children and adults. He is an active member of the adaptive sporting community and believes that everyone deserves opportunities to learn and have fun. When working with children Mike’s focus is on providing them with a variety of fun activities to help them learn. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, climbing and camping with his two elementary-aged children.
